Cedar Community Foundation's Campaign Steering Committee announces "Moments to Remember" -- our philanthropy campaign to raise $3.7 million for an innovative new memory loss assisted living underway at our new Cedar Run campus in West Bend.
“Yes we can do that!”
Last year Cedar Community rolled out our internal “Yes, we can do that!” campaign. This staff philosophy ensures that, when residents have a request, we do our utmost to make it happen for them. Though the initiative was championed to empower independent and assisted living residents to stay in their homes as long as possible, this philosophy has also transcended to residents in our health and rehabilitation center -- especially those who are financially stressed.
The Cedar Community Foundation developed the Partners In Caring® (PIC) campaign in 1979 to help offset the expense of caring for these residents. This year, PIC is more important than ever. We expect the unreimbursed cost to serve our health and rehabilitation center residents with coverage under Wisconsin Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid) will be $2.9 million in 2013. Interest income generated by PIC past donations are transferred annually. During this fiscal year the Foundation is providing $660,000 to Cedar Community to offset these losses.
This fund helps Cedar Community residents continue to receive the highest standard of care regardless of their situation. Thanks to our PIC donors, we can respond as our mission intends when they ask, “Can I stay here if I outlive my resources?” Please help us say “Yes, we can do that!” and partner with us to continue this support. DONATE NOW or email us to find out more. Remember you may pledge your gift for the year and pay in small segments. All gifts are appreciated and remember, we so value YOU!
